The Tigers (3-14, 0-6 GAC) were led by freshman Mackenzie Davis, who tallied seven kills, .429 (7k-13-14ta) hitting percentage, two digs and three block assists.  Junior Hayley Gerken led the team with six (1-5) blocks to help ECU earn a nine to eight lead in blocks.

The first set was a tight battle at the beginning, with three tie scores and three lead changes.  ECU took the first lead, 6-4, before Harding used a 5-0 run to take a 6-9 advantage.  The score toggled back and forth for most of the set until close to the end when the Tigers went on a 7-2 run to cut the deficit to two 22-24.  However, the Bison (9-4, 4-1 GAC) garnered the last point they needed for a 22-25 win.

The second set saw Harding jump out to an early 1-5 lead.  ECU kept the disadvantage between two and three before a 3-0 run got them within one (11-12).  After trading the next four serves the Bison again pushed ahead with a 3-0 run (13-17).  Late in the set, the teams traded small runs the resulted in the Tigers getting within one (23-24), but again Harding got their last needed point to end the set 23-25.

The third set saw the Bison jump out to an early 2-7 advantage and not let up on the intensity throughout the set.  ECU used a 4-0 and 3-0 run in the set to get as close as three (9-12), but ended up falling 15-25.

The Tigers will now get ready to face league-leading Arkansas Tech (13-5, 5-1 GAC), Saturday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. in the Kerr Activities Center.
