ADA – Despite a 0-1 overtime loss to Harding, the East Central University soccer team earned the final spot in the 2014 Great American Conference Tournament. The Tigers (6-7-1, 3-4-1 GAC) claimed the spot after a Southwestern Oklahoma State loss earlier in the day's league events.

Taylor Lowe tallied six saves, while seniors
Kristina Gonzalez-Claborn,
Katie Glutz and
Taylor Graves all tallied five shots, with Glutz sending two on net. The Tigers had a strong offensive output, recording 26 total shots to 11 by the Bison (6-10-1, 6-2-1 GAC).
Two of the Tigers shots were close to going in net completely, as ECU had two shots bounce off the top pipe and down, but they never fully cross the plane of the goal.
The game remained knotted at zero through regulation and into the start of the first overtime before a winner was decided. Harding scored a goal on a free kick at 99:20 to take the match.
The Tigers will now prepare for the final home match of the 2014 season when they host Ouachita Baptist, Saturday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. at Tiger Field. Approximately 15 minutes before the start of the match, ECU will honor its nine seniors:
