ADA – The East Central University soccer team earned a come-from-behind win over Ouachita Baptist, 2-1, on the annual Senior Day for the Tigers (7-7-2, 4-4-1 GAC). ECU honored its nine seniors before the match, with one of those seniors coming up big and scoring both goals for the Tigers in the win.

Taylor Lowe was strong in the goal, tallying three saves and allowing just one goal.
After a scoreless first half, OBU (5-11-1, 4-5 GAC) was the first to score, with a goal at 48:04.
ECU picked up the intensity and saw the first goal to tie the game at one at 61:09 by senior
Katie Glutz. Glutz sent in a shot from the far right side outside of the goal box and sent it over the head and to the left of the OBU net minder.
Glutz added the match-winning goal at 77:53 with an assist from fellow senior
Jessica Stibbens. Stibbens sent in a shot on goal that was wide, but it was picked up by Glutz in the front of the net and tapped in.
ECU kept the ball on their offensive side of the net for most of the remainder of the game and held on for the 2-1 victory.
The teams will battle again right away, Monday, Nov. 3 in a make-up match in Arkadelphia, Ark. The match was originally scheduled for Oct. 11 but was washed out due to rain. The match is set to start at 3 p.m. and will be the final regular-season match to determine the seeds for the Great American Conference tournament next weekend.
