Box Score ALVA, OKLA. – The East Central University women's basketball team bounced back and earned a 62-50 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State in Great American Conference action at the Percefull Fieldhouse.

The Lady Tigers (16-7, 11-6 GAC) were led by senior
Ashley Robison, who tallied 16 points and nine rebounds. Junior
Erin Walling added 15 points and fellow senior
Alycea Price contributed 10 points.
ECU started out the first half with strong play on both ends of the court. The Lady Tigers went on a 5-0 run before allowing the Rangers (5-17, 5-11 GAC) to score their first points of the game, with 14:27 left on the clock. ECU kept at least a four-point lead through the first 10 minutes of the half before NWOSU went on its first run.
The Rangers used an 8-0 run to take a 16-17 advantage, with 5:04 left to play. The Lady Tigers countered with a 6-0 run over the next minute to lead 22-17. However, NWOSU held ECU scoreless for the final four minutes of the half and used a 10-0 run to take a 22-27 lead into the locker room.
The second half was a back and forth battle at the start, with NWOSU holding onto its five-point lead. ECU started its comeback six minutes into the half; going on an 11-2 run that tied the game at 35, with 11:40 remaining. The Lady Tigers kept fighting and built an eight-point advantage, with a 9-0 run over a three minute span, to lead 49-39 with 7:50 left on the clock.
NWOSU continued to battle and cut the advantage to five, but ECU kept the pressure up in the final minutes of the game. The Lady Tigers used an 8-1 run in the final 2:39 to earn the 62-50 win.
The key to the game ended up being shooting percentages. ECU shot just 36.8 percent (7-of-19) in the first half, but came out strong in the second hitting 60 percent (15-of-25) of its shots. The Lady Tigers also held the Rangers to a 34.0 (18-of-53) percentage for the game.
ECU has one more road game before finishing the regular-season at the Kerr Activities Center. The Lady Tigers will travel to Bethany, Okla., to face Southern Nazarene, Thursday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
