Scouting Southern Arkansas
The Lady Muleriders are 10-9 overall and 6-7 in Great American Conference after winning three of their last four games.

The close record is reflected in their -2.7 scoring and +1.2 rebounding margin.  SAU and its opponents also have a close .402 to .403 shooting percentage mark.  However, there is a clear disadvantage in three-point shooting for the Lady Muleriders, with a .248 to .303 difference.  SAU is making just 3.2 triples per game and allowing 6.2 by the opposition.

The Lady Muleriders have even scoring across their players, with just one in double digits.  Chanel Miller leads the team with 15.9 points and 4.4 boards per game, while shooting .488.  Barvion Wyatt is next on the scoring list with 8.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Against the Lady Muleriders
In the first meeting of the season, SAU earned an 83-84 overtime victory in Magnolia, despite a 53-35 rebounding margin in favor of ECU.

Both teams had five players in double-digits in the point's column.  Senior Alycea Price led the Lady Tigers with 17 points and five rebounds.  Fellow senior Ashley Robison added 16 points, while junior Jalyn Jackson tallied 17 rebounds.

Chanel Miller led the Lady Muleriders, with 22 points and five rebounds.  Barvion Wyatt added 21 points and four boards.

The Series
The all-time series with SAU is one of the shortest for the Lady Tigers, at just 6-4 in favor of ECU.  Since the teams started playing each other as part of GAC action, the Lady Tigers have been the victors of two-straight in Ada.

Pink Out Game
The ECU basketball teams will be holding their annual Pink Out games to support Breast Cancer Awareness, Thursday when they host the Muleriders. The ECU Athletic Department will also be taking donations at halftime of each game for Play4Kay, with the proceeds going to the Kay Yow Foundation.

Taking Down the Top Teams
The Lady Tigers were the first team to hand then-No. 6 Harding a loss in the 2013-14 season when they earned a 61-60 overtime victory.  The win marked the first time since Jan. 14, 2012 that ECU had beaten a ranked opponent.  The last time saw ECU down then-No. 1 Arkansas Tech (74-65) at the Kerr Activities Center.

Price Stepping Up
Senior Alycea Price has had a strong showing in the last few games.  The Houston, Texas native hit the game-winning shot against No. 6 Harding (Jan. 25) in overtime and then tallied a career-best 19 points in the win over Henderson State (Jan. 30).  Price is averaging 11.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game this season for the Lady Tigers.

Tucker Chiming In
Senior Alex Tucker has started all 16 games this season for the Lady Tigers and was a key disher of assists until the game at Southeastern Oklahoma State.  Tucker stepped up her game and tallied a career-best 15 points, while adding one rebounds, two assists and one block and steal.

Jackson Grabbing the Boards
Redshirt freshman Jalyn Jackson has been pulling in the rebounds for the Lady Tigers this season, recording 10 or more rebounds in four games so far.  The Oklahoma City, Okla., native had a career-best 17 boards at Southern Arkansas, which included 11 offensive boards.  She also added 17 against Southwestern (12 offensive), 10 at Harding (six offense) and 10 against Northwestern (eight offense).

Garza Making A Splash
Redshirt junior Janee Garza had an outstanding game for the Lady Tigers against Southern Arkansas.  The Murphy, Texas, native tallied a career-high 15 points, hitting 5-of-11 shots from beyond the arc.

Walling Wowing
Junior Erin Walling has been improving all season and had one of the best games of her career against the Evangels.  Walling tallied a career-high 22 points, with career-highs of six field goals and seven free throws.

Robison Crashing the Glass
Senior Ashley Robison had a strong rebounding effort against Mid-American Christian.  The Tulsa, Okla., native tallied a career-best 18 rebounds, two offensive and 16 defensive.  Robison also added 10 points for her first double-double of the season.

Winning Start
The Lady Tigers started 4-0, marking the third time ECU has started 4-0.  The last time was 1989-90.  The Lady Tigers have started a season 4-0 twice (1989-90/1987-88), 5-0 in 2001-02 and 7-0 twice (1995-96/1984-85).

Home Sweet Home
The Kerr Activities Center was very busy in November, with the Lady Tigers hosting the first five games of the season at home.  This marks the first time since 1984-85 that ECU has played five-straight home games to start a season.  That season, the Lady Tigers went 7-0 to start, while ECU is already 3-0 in 2013-14.

Lady Tigers Picked Fourth in the GAC
After finishing fifth in the Great American Conference standings in 2012-13, ECU has been picked to finish fourth in the 2013-14 GAC Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.

The Lady Tigers earned 69 points in the poll.  ECU improved by 11 wins in 2012-13 in going 19-9. Second-Team All-GAC forward Dilan Webster averaged 14.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in league games last season. Ashley Robison and Alycea Price also averaged at least 7.0 rebounds per game in GAC games.
