The Lady Tigers (1-2) saw goals from senior Katie Glutz and freshman Peyton Vanlandingham.  Junior Taylor Lowe recorded five saves and allowed one goal in net for ECU.

The teams fought through the first half without a goal being scored and a total of three shots on goal.

The Lady Tigers were the first to get on the scoreboard at the 69-minute mark on the goal from Glutz.  She got a pass up the right side of the field from senior Taylor Graves and sent a cross from the right that found the net in the far corner.

Vanlandingham scored the game-winning goal for ECU at 76:03.  She took a pass off a Jets (1-1-1) defender on the left side of the box and sent it past the netminder.
Newman cut the deficit to one with a goal at 87:56, but it was not enough and the Lady Tigers held on for the 2-1 victory.

ECU will remain at home for a non-conference match against Oklahoma Baptist, Friday, Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. at Lady Tiger Field.
