ADA – For the second-straight match, the East Central University soccer team shutout its opponent, claiming a 3-0 win over Southern Nazarene in Great American Conference action at Tiger Field.

Taylor Kennedy, who scored two goals in a game for the second time this season. Kennedy also assisted on ECU's third goal of the match and recorded five shots on goal.

Chloe Hull earned her second-straight shutout, stopping five shots.
Kennedy gave the Tigers the lead 16:47 into the first half. She picked up a ball that bounced off the Crimson Storm (4-6, 1-3 GAC) goalie after a shot from junior
Lexie DeVore at the top center of the box.
The teams kept the score at 1-0 until the second half, when Kennedy scored her second of the game. This time she had a one-on-one with a defender up the middle of the box after beating the goalie and getting a pass from sophomore
Deanna Rudasill.
The final goal of the match came from DeVore, who took a long pass from Kennedy from the defensive side of the field and ran straight up the middle. She took a shot at the top of the box that beat the goalie on the right for the 3-0 final.
The Tigers had control of the match most of the way, recording 10 shots on goal to five by SNU. ECU also earned an 8-2 corner kicks.
The Tigers will now hit the road for the next five matches, starting with a short trip to the newest GAC school, Oklahoma Baptist, Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m., in Shawnee, Okla.
