BETHANY, OKLA. – The East Central University soccer team fell 0-1 to Southern Nazarene in Great American Conference action.
The Tigers (4-11, 3-6 GAC) defense was strong though the game, blocking five shots by the Crimson Storm (7-9, 4-6 GAC). SNU kept pressure on the whole match, with 20 total shots and six finding the goal.
Freshman
Chloe Hull recorded six saves, while sophomore
Deanna Rudasill tallied two shots to lead the offense.
The teams battled through for a 0-0 tie at the half, with the lone goal not coming until the 64:53 mark in the second half when the Crimson Storm tallied the lone goal of the match.
ECU will now return home for the final two or three matches of the season. ECU will host Ouachita Baptist, Thursday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. at Tiger Field. The Tigers will also welcome Harding, Saturday, Oct. 31 at 11 a.m., as part of the annual homecoming celebrations. The final game of the season is set for Monday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. against Oklahoma Baptist, but will only be played if necessary.
