The Tigers (5-17) had a strong offensive streak that earned a .286 (44k-16e-98ta) team hitting percentage and held the Lions (4-21) to a .095 (21k-14e-74ta) mark.

Sophomore Madyson Gill hit .355 (14k-3e-31ta), while sophomore Madeline Mayer added nine kills and sophomore Bria Gambrell contributed eight.

The opening set started the strong pace for ECU. The Tigers jumped to an early lead of 7-3 and held the lead through the entire set.  Langston fought back toward the end of the set using a 6-0 run to cut the deficit from eight to three (20-17).  The Tigers pushed back and used a 4-0 run of their own to regain control to pull through with the 25-20 win.

ECU and the Lions battled closely starting the second set, then the Tigers ran off with the lead winning with a final score of 25-9.

The final set was dominated by ECU, who pushed ahead with a 4-0 lead to start the set. The Tigers held Langston to single digits for most of the set and never let the Lions score more than two-straight points on the way to a 25-13 win.

ECU will next be in action for a battle with Oklahoma Baptist at the Kerr Activities Center, Thursday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
