FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. – The East Central University men's cross country team finished seventh, out of 33 teams, at the 2015 Chile Pepper College Men's 8K race that included teams from all NCAA Divisions.

The Tigers, who are ranked No. 17 in the United State Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll, were one of four teams from the Great American Conference in the race and the top team to finish.

ECU finished with 196 points, with Southern Arkansas the next team from the GAC to finish (12^th), with 348.  Oklahoma Baptist was 19th (594) and Northwestern was 31^st (864).

Senior Juan-Joel Pacheco Orozco was the top finisher for the Tigers, finishing 49^th individually in 24:53.82.  Junior Richard Mora was next in 25:19.46 (79^th).

Senior William Baldwin was next in 25:39.22 (104^th), freshman Cole Montgomery was 118^th (25:45.27), junior Adrian Guevara was 165^th (26:08.86), junior Noel Figueroa was 242^nd (26:54.91), freshman Larry Filer was 274^th (27:11.76), junior Bruce Bragg was 284^th (27:18.81), sophomore Conrad Carbaugh was 354^th (28:04.88), and sophomore Caleb Biles was 389^th (28:47.17).

ECU will not have much time off, as they will race at the Oklahoma Baptist Invite, Saturday, Oct. 10 in Shawnee, Okla.  The race marks the second of four-straight weeks in action that will end with the GAC Championships (Oct. 24).
