ECU finished second at the 2015 NCAA Central Regional, with senior Juan-Joel Pacheco Orozco claiming third individually and senior Will Baldwin finishing fifth.  The duo, along with Bruce Bragg and Richard Mora earned United State Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Central Regional honors.

The Tigers will be the lone team from the Great American Conference in the field, which includes No. 1 Adams State who has won the last three championships.  Grand Valley State is also in the field, the runner-up the last two seasons and the other team currently ranked No. 1 by the USTFCCCA poll.

ECU jumped back into the national poll, tied for 13th, after the Central Regional.  The Tigers were ranked in the poll or received votes all but the first two weeks of the season and were ranked as high as No. 16 during the year.
