The Cowboys opened the half with an 11-0 run in the first three minutes, but ECU fought back and used a 10-6 run of its own to cut the deficit to seven (10-17), with 12:46 remaining. The Tigers kept the score within seven to 13 points the rest of the half and went into the intermission trailing by eight (29-37).
OSU started to open up the lead at the start of the second half, as ECU struggled to make shots early and the Cowboys were able to get their shots to fall. OSU increased the lead to as many as 32 through the half, but the Tigers never gave up before falling 66-94.
ECU will not get much rest before their next outing, as they face UTEP in an exhibition game, Saturday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. in El Paso, Texas. The Tigers will officially start the 2015-16 season, Friday, Nov. 13 against Concordia-St. Paul in the GAC/NSIC Crossover Challenge in Warrensburg, Mo.
