The East Central University women's basketball team will be on the road for the final full weekend of away Great American Conference action. The Tigers will first face Southern Arkansas, Thursday, Feb. 12 and then Ouachita Baptist, Saturday, Feb. 14.
Game NotesThe BroadcastECU's radio home for Tigers basketball in 2014-15 is Ada's KXFC, 105.5, FM 'The X-Factor'. Kenny Morrison returns to broadcast the games for his 18th season. Morrison, a 1987 ECU graduate, spent two seasons doing color prior to taking over the play-by-play duties during the 1997-98 season.

Scouting Southern ArkansasThe Muleriders are 5-16 overall and 3-12 in the GAC after falling in their last three games. SAU has a -6.4 scoring and +0.9 rebounding margin on the year and trail .391 to .430 in overall shooting percentage.
The Muleriders have two players that are averaging over 10 points per game, with Rosa Bryant leading the charge with 12.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Chanel Miller adds 11.5 points and 4.1 boards per outing.
Against the MuleridersThe Tigers claimed a 69-64 win over SAU in the first meeting of the 2014-15 season at the Kerr Activities Center.
Senior Taylor Fisher led ECU with 17 points, while senior
Erin Walling added 15 points and senior
Dilan Webster 12 points.
Chanel Miller was the key to the offense for SAU, with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Aarika Reyna added 14 points.
The SeriesThe Tigers are currently leading the all-time series with the Muleriders with a 9-4 records after winning the last three games.
Scouting Ouachita BaptistThe purple and gold Tigers are currently 7-14 overall and 3-11 in the GAC after falling in their last three outings. OBU has a -6.4 scoring and -1.7 rebounding margin for the season.
OBU has two players that have over 10 points per game to their credit. Breanna Harris leads the team with 12.5 points and 4.2 boards per game, while shooting .405 from the field. Katie Kapler adds 11.7 points and 7.6 boards per game.
Against the TigersIn the first battle of the Tigers, OBU earned their first win of the GAC season, 59-71.

Taylor Fischer led the team with 20 points, while senior
Ashleigh Kelman-Poto added 16 points and three rebounds.
Katherine West and Katie Kapler led a group of four players with over 10 points in the game. West garnered 20 points and five boards, while Kapler added 17 points and seven rebounds.
The SeriesThe Tiger teams have meet on 15 previous occasions, with ECU holding a 9-6 lead in the series. ECU also holds a 4-3 advantage in GAC games, but is trailing 3-5 when playing in Arkadelphia.
Coming off the BenchMost players get excited and do better when they move from an off the bench role to a starting spot, but the opposite has been true for senior
Ashleigh Kelman-Poto. She has created a great spark coming off the bench for the Tigers. Kelman-Poto started the first five games of the season and was averaging 8.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, but in the games as the first player off the bench she has increased her output to 10.2 points and 5.4 boards per game.
Rogers Making NoiseFreshman
Kendal Rogers may have seen action in all 15 of the Tigers games this season, but she made the most of her minutes against No. 15 Arkansas Tech. The Davis, Okla., native garnered a career-high 10 points, including six free throws and added four rebounds an assist and a block.
Tigers Leaving Their MarkAlong with having one of the best records in the NCAA at 14-6, the Tigers are ranked in the top-30 in three categories and have three players ranked in one category individually in the top-100. ECU is making the most noise in the turnover column, as they are ranked No. 1 with just 10.7 turnovers per game. The Tigers are also No. 10 in assist/turnover ratio (1.23) and No. 19 in turnover margin (4.60).

Erin Walling is ranked No. 38 in ATR (1.83), while fellow senior
Dilan Webster is No. 74 in blocks per game (1.55) and No. 87 in field-goal percentage (48.2) and senior
Taylor Fischer is No. 29 in three-point field goal percentage (41.8).
Resetting the Record BooksSenior
Dilan Webster may be the leading blocker for the Tigers, but she is also making a mark for herself in the scoring columns. In the Dec. 6 game against Northwestern, Webster became the 13th player at ECU to earn 1,000 points, currently with 1,178. She is also among five active players in the Great American Conference that have over 800 points and become the fifth player in GAC history to hit the milestone.

Taylor Fischer has moved into her starting role for ECU with strong numbers compared to a season ago. In 2013-14, Fischer averaged 4.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per game and so far in 2014-15 she is netting 11.9 points and 2.8 boards per game.
Fischer Player of the WeekSenior
Taylor Fischer has earned the first honor of the season for the Tigers, being named the Great American Conference Player of the Week for Dec. 8. Fischer pushed the Tigers to a 4-0 mark in the GAC as she averaged 17.5 points per game in victories against Southwestern Oklahoma State and Northwestern Oklahoma State last week. Against the Bulldogs, she scored 16 points with three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Against the Rangers, she scored 19 points and she made five 3-point field goals.
First Game/First WinFirst-year head coach
Matt Cole started out his head coaching career the best way a coach can, with a win in his first game when the Tigers defeated Rogers State 57-54 (Nov. 15, 2014).
Already Atop the Leader BoardSenior
Dilan Webster has been a force to deal with on the blocks, as she became the ECU all-time leading blocker before her junior season (2013-14). Webster tallied 30 more blocks a year ago and has 31 this season to move her own school record to 157 career blocks.
