SEARCY, ARK. – The East Central University baseball team dropped a Great American Conference double-header to Harding on the road, falling 6-9 and 2-11.
The Tigers (11-10, 7-6 GAC) were paced by senior
Bryce McKee, who hit .500 on the day, with three hits, one run scored and five RBIs. Senior
Luc Pomales added a .500 average, on two hits, two runs and one RBI.
Senior
Cam McKay suffered a loss in 4.2 innings of action, but struck out six.
The final game of the series will be played, Sunday, March 22 at noon.
Game 1 – Harding 9, ECU 6ECU was the first to get on the scoreboard, with four runs in the top of the third inning. After the first out, senior

Nick Spini singled and senior
Luc Pomales was walked to load the bases. That set up senior
Bryce McKee for four RBIs when he hit a grand slam.
The Bisons (14-13, 7-5 GAC) followed with five runs in the bottom of the third to take a 4-5 lead.
The Tigers tied the game at five in the fifth inning, when Pomales hit a two-out home run to right field.
Harding again took the lead with a four-run sixth inning for a 5-9 advantage.
ECU tried to make a come-back in the top of the ninth inning, earning a run on a home run by senior
Dustin Torres, but fell 6-9.
Game 2 – Harding 11, ECU 2Torres continued right where he left off in the second game, hitting a leadoff home run to right field to put the Tigers up 1-0 after the first inning.
The game remained in ECU's favor until the bottom of the fourth inning, when Harding sent six runs home for a 1-6 lead. The Bisons added two more runs in the fifth for a 1-8 advantage.
The Tigers added a run in the sixth on doubles from Spini and McKee for a 2-8 score.
In the bottom of the eighth inning Harding added three more runs for the 2-11 final.
