The Tigers (3-9, 3-5 GAC) saw two players nearly earn double-doubles in the win, with sophomore Aalyiah Blakely garnering 11 points and nine rebounds and junior Jalyn Jackson netting 10 points and nine boards.  Junior Tori Huff tallied a team-high 13 points.

ECU opened the game on a 4-0 run and kept the pressure up through the first quarter to hold a 12-8 advantage.

The Bison (6-8, 4-4 GAC) fought back in the second quarter and used a 6-0 run in the middle of the stanza to tie the game at 18.  The teams then traded runs in the final three minutes of the quarter, but the Tigers held a 27-26 advantage at the half.

OBU continued the run they had started in the first half, and with an 8-4 run, tied the game at 29 with 8:30 left in the quarter.  The teams traded the next two shots, but then ECU made a big push and extended the lead out to 10 (41-31) over the next three minutes.  The lead remained around 10 points for the Tigers for the rest of the quarter and the Tigers went into the final stanza with a 46-39 advantage.

The Bison again fought back at the start of the fourth quarter, using an 11-4 run through the first eight minutes to take a 50-51 lead.  However, the lead was short lived as ECU closed the game on an 8-0 run for the 58-51 victory.

The Tigers earned a key advantage on the glass, out-rebounding OBU 45-25 and scoring 13 points on their second chances.

ECU will now get ready for a battle with arch rival Southeastern Oklahoma State, Monday, Jan. 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kerr Activities Center.  The game will feature several give-a-ways for ECU students provided by Patriot Ford.
