ADA – The East Central University soccer team fell 0-2 to Ouachita Baptist in Great American Conference action, as the first match of a five-match home stand.
The Tigers (1-8-1, 1-4 GAC) were led by freshman
Alexis Castillo, who has two shots on goal that were both deflected off the fingertips of the Ouachita (5-5, 5-1 GAC) netminder. ECU also saw two shots on goal from freshman
Aubrey Leveling.
Sophomore
Kaelee Fretwell earned her first career start, playing all 90 minutes in net, allowing two goals and recording 10 saves.
The teams were knotted at zero for most of the first half, before Ouachita earned their first goal at 32:07. Ouachita then added a goal at 60:17 in the second half for the 0-2 final.
The Tigers will continue their home stand, Saturday, Oct. 8 with an 11 a.m. match against Harding, who is currently tied for the lead in the league standing with Ouachita.
