ADA – The East Central University football team lost to Southwestern Oklahoma State, 7-41, in Great American Conference action at Koi Ishto Stadium.

The Tigers (1-5 GAC) saw their lone points scored by senior
David Moore, with his eighth receiving touchdown of the season. Moore caught six passes for 101 yards for the game. Sophomore
Jackson Lamb went 18-of-31 passing, with 221 yards.
Junior
Camnik Campbell led a trio of defensive players with 10-or-more tackles, with 16 (5-11). Sophomore
Ryan Rackley added 14 (6-8), while junior
Josh Morgan netted 10 (1-9).
ECU struggled to get its offense going in the game, recording just 272 total offensive yards to 625 by the Bulldogs (2-4 GAC).
The offensive drive by SWOSU started immediately, as the Bulldogs scored their first TD of the game just a minute in. SWOSU also added a touchdown, with 9:53 left in the first quarter, for a 0-14 advantage.
The Bulldogs added a third TD, with 14:05 left in the second quarter, to push the advantage to 0-20 after a blocked extra point attempt.
Less than a minute later, the Tigers got on the scoreboard when Moore capped off a two-play, 60-yard drive that took 32 seconds with a touchdown. Moore caught a 57-yard TD pass from Lamb, with 13:23 left in the half.
However, the Bulldogs added two more touchdowns in the first half to push the lead to 7-34.
The final points of the game came at 14:53 in the fourth quarter to increase the SWOSU lead to 7-41.
The second half of the GAC season will start on the road for ECU, as they travel to Russellville, Ark., to battle with Arkansas Tech, Saturday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m.
