LIVINGSTON, ALA. – The East Central University baseball team dropped a 0-6 decision to No. 9 West Alabama in non-conference road action.
The Tigers (0-6) recorded four hits in the game from four different players. Juniors
Riley Roberts,
Thomas McGarry,
Kaleb Matthews and
Kodiak O'Ravez all tallied singles in the game.
Junior
Dylan Sanchez started the game on the mound for ECU, throwing 4.2 innings. Sanchez allowed seven hits and five runs, while striking out six.
UWA (3-1) wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning.
West Alabama added a run in the second, two in the fifth and one in the sixth for the 0-6 final.
The Tigers will continue the series with UWA, playing three games in the next two days. The teams will have a single game Friday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. and start a doubleheader, Saturday, Feb. 13 at noon.
