Box Score ARKADELPHIA, ARK. – The East Central University baseball team fell 1-16, in seven innings, to Henderson State at Clyde Berry Field. The Tigers (4-15, 4-6 GAC) were the home team even though the game was played at HSU, as they series was originally scheduled to be played in Ada, but moved due to rain.
The Reddies (10-11, 7-3 GAC) started the scoring right away and scored at least one run in the first four innings. HSU took an early leady with three runs in the first, added one in the second, three more in the third and four in the fourth for the 0-11 advantage.
ECU got its lone run of the game from junior
JT Stevenson, who hit his first home run in an orange and black uniform in the fifth inning.
However, the Reddies adds four more runs in the sixth and one in the seventh for a 1-16 final, as the run-rule was put into effect.
The teams were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader March 13, but will now play the doubleheader, March 14 starting at noon.
