ADA – The East Central University baseball team split a doubleheader with Harding to earn the series win. The Tigers (8-20, 8-10 GAC) earned a come-from-behind 13-11 win in game one of the day and then fell 4-6.

Kaleb Matthews and
Trevor Huie all added .500 averages. Mound contributed four hits, three runs and four RBIs.
Sophomore
Carson Childers earned the win on the mound in 0.2 innings of action, while sophomore
Shae Edmonds picked up the save, throwing the final inning in the first game and three more in the second. For the day, Edmonds allowed three hits, with no runs and three strikeouts.
The Tigers will now prepare for a Great American Conference series at Oklahoma Baptist, March 1-2 in Shawnee, Okla.
East Central 13, Harding 11The opening game of the day was a tale of two halves, as the Bisons (13-18, 6-12 GAC) took an early 0-7 lead with two runs in the second and five in the third.
However, the fourth is when the Tigers took over, cutting the deficit to two (5-7). After the first out Matthews was hit by a pitch, Huie singled and Stevenson was walked to load the bases. Junior
Kodiak O'Ravez sent the first run home with a single and the second was due to a sacrifice fly by sophomore
Dalton Etheredge.
Mound earned the final three RBIs of the innings with his second home run of the season.
ECU added another run in the fifth on a Matthews' walk, Huie hit by pitch and a single from Stevenson.
Harding tried to put the game out of reach in the top of the eight with four runs for a 6-11 lead.
The Tigers didn't go quietly and scored seven of their own in the bottom of the inning for the first lead of the game, 13-11. O'Ravez started the inning by getting hit, while Etheredge was walked. Mound scored the first run with a single and the bases were then loaded when senior
Casey Kenney singled.
Senior
Kris Molter added two runs with a single to right and the bases were reloaded when junior
Jake McKeel was walked. Matthews sent two runs home with a double to right and Huie and Stevenson each added an RBI with singles to left.
The Bisons fought in the top of the ninth, getting the bases loaded, but a fly out to right field ended the game for the ECU victory.
Harding 6, East Central 4Harding came out and took a 0-1 advantage in the second, but the lead was short-lived as the Tigers tallied three runs in the bottom of the inning for a 3-1 lead.
After an out Mound, sophomore
Jacob Cowling and O'Ravez singled to score the first run. Etheredge was added to the mix with a walk allowing a stolen base, error and wild pitch to score two runs.
ECU added to the advantage with a solo home run by McKeel in the third for a 4-1 lead.
However, the Bisons scored two in the fourth and three in the fifth to gain a 4-6 advantage.
In the final two innings, ECU was only allowed one base runner and the fell 4-6, but earned the series win with a 2-1 mark.
