ADA – In the second to last home series of the 2016 season, the East Central University baseball team will host Southern Nazarene in a three-game Great American Conference series, April 8-9 at Ken Turner Field. A doubleheader is set for Friday, April 8 starting at 1 p.m., while the Saturday, April 9 single game time will be decided Friday based on weather reports. (
Note Change in Game Times)The Tigers are 11-21 overall and 10-11 in the GAC after a strong weekend of action. ECU went 2-1 against Oklahoma Baptist, including a 1-0 shutout to win the series. The Tigers then earned a 17-4 win in the final non-conference game of the regular season against Dallas Christian.
The game against DCC was one of the strongest offensive games of the year for ECU, with the team hitting four home runs for the first time since the 2010 season and recording the most runs in a game in 2016.
The Crimson Storm are 7-27 overall and 5-16 after losing their last four games, including a GAC series against Southeastern. SNU are hitting .263 for the year, while allowing a .337 mark by its opponents.
