The Tigers (3-10, 1-0 GAC) were led by juniors Kaci Harrison and Madyson Gill.  Harrison garnered her third double-double of the season with 12 kills and 11 digs, while hitting .455 (12k-2e-22ta).  Gill added a .550 (11k-0e-20ta) attack percentage, with five service aces and six digs.

ECU had a strong overall match, hitting .379 (42k-6e-95ta) as a team, adding seven service aces and four total blocks.  The Tigers held the Savage Storm (7-7, 0-2 GAC) to a .060 (25k-19e-100ta) hitting percentage and one total block.

The match started out close, with the teams trading the first eight serves.  However, that is when ECU took control, going on a 7-0 run for an 11-4 advantage.  The Tigers continued the pressure and added another 7-0 run and only allowed four more points from Southeastern to claim the 25-8 win.

The second set started close again, with neither team leading by more than two points until the middle of the set.  With the scoreboard reading 9-7 in favor of ECU, the Tigers went on a 5-2 run to push the lead out to five (14-9).  ECU kept the pressure up and added a 4-0 run late in the set to help propel them to a 25-19 win.

The final set saw the Savage Storm take an early 3-5 advantage, but the Tigers counted with a 7-1 run to gain a 10-5 lead.  ECU kept the momentum on their side through the rest of the set, using a few runs and now allowing Southeastern to score more than two points at a time to claim the set and match win 25-15.

The Tigers will now get the rest of the weekend off before hosting Oklahoma Baptist, Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Kerr Activities Center.
