WEATHERFORD, OKLA. – The East Central University soccer team fell, in the final of four-straight road matches, at Southwestern Oklahoma State, 0-4.
The Tigers (1-5-1, 1-1 GAC) were paced by junior
Deanna Rudasill, who garnered three shots on goal after tallying two goals in the last match for ECU. Senior
Lexi Hurley got her first start of the season, earning five saves and facing 19 total shots.
The Tigers had several strong chances to score, with six of their eight shots in the game being on goal.
The Bulldogs (5-1-1, 2-0 GAC) started the scoring at 19:58 in the first half and added a goal just before the half (43:48) to take a 0-2 advantage into the intermission.
SWOSU added a goals at 73:22 and 87:38 in the second half for the 0-4 final.
The Tigers will now get to stay home for a match, Thursday, Sept. 29 against Oklahoma Baptist at 4 p.m. However, ECU will finish next week on the road, with a short trip to Southern Nazarene, Saturday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m.
