ADA – The East Central University baseball team will hit the road for the first time in three weeks, making the trip to Arkadelphia, Ark., to face Henderson State, March 25-26 at Clyde Berry Field. A double-header Saturday, March 25 at 2 p.m. and a single game Sunday, March 26 at 1 p.m.
The Tigers head into the weekend with an 8-15 overall record and a 7-8 mark in the Great American Conference after going 1-2 against Ouachita last weekend. ECU was paced by senior
Kaleb Matthews, with a .600 average, six hits, four runs, five RBIs. Senior
Trevor Huie added a .500 average, one run and four hits.

Brandon Dusenberry picked up the win on the mound, allowing seven hits and two runs and striking out four.
The Reddies are 16-9 overall and 10-5 in the league after a 1-2 weekend against Southeastern and a non-conference loss to Delta State Tuesday. HSU has combined for a .253 batting average and allows a .229 average on the year.
Hayden Lessenberry is leading the Reddies with a .333 average, 18 runs, 31 hits, eight doubles, two home runs and 14 RBIs. Joe Myers adds a .326 average, 13 runs, 28 hits, seven doubles, two home runs and eight RBIs.
Of the 14 pitchers on the HSU staff, three have seen more than 40 innings of work. Bryant Haralson leads the group with a 1.45 ERA, 4-2 records, seven appearances, three complete games, two shutouts, 43.1 innings, 23 hits and eight runs allowed and 49 strikeouts.
The all-time series with the Reddies stands a 5-13, with a 5-10 mark in the GAC and a 2-10 mark when playing on the road. The series was moved to Arkadelphia last season due to weather issues in Ada, with the Reddies taking two of three games.
