Preisner Garners 31 Points in Women’s Basketball’s Second-Straight Victory

EMPORIA, KAN. – A 31-point performance from senior Lakin Preisner helped the East Central University women's basketball team came back for the Emporia State Thanksgiving Classic with two wins after a 75-61 victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith.

Scoring
  • First Quarter: 13-10
    • Teams started close, with no one leading by more than two
      • 6:38 teams were tied at 4
      • The Tigers (3-1) then went on a 4-0 run for control
      • The game was close through the end of the quarter
  • Second Quarter: 12-15 (25-25)
    • Traded points in the opening two minutes
    • Then both teams went cold for over two minutes

      • ECU then went on a 5-0 run to push the lead to nine, 59-52 (4:40)

    • ECU lead by as many as 14 in the final minutes
