ADA – The East Central University baseball team's series against Southwestern Oklahoma State, which was scheduled to be played at Ken Turner Field has been moved to Weatherford, Okla., due to wet field conditions in Ada.  The teams will play a single game, Friday, March 2 at 2 p.m. and a double-header Saturday, March 3 starting at noon.

The Tigers are 1-12 overall and 0-6 in the Great American Conference standings after falling to Southern Arkansas in all three games in Melissa, Texas last weekend.

In the 2018 season, ECU is being led by sophomore Cale Riding with a .379 average, 11 hits, eight runs, two home runs and five RBIs.  Senior Zach Trueblood adds a .333 average, 11 hits, six runs and three RBIs.

Junior Logan Lannon has seen the most action on the mound, throwing 21.1 innings in four appearances, including one complete game.  He has allowed 27 hits and 22 runs, while striking out 16.

The Bulldogs are 9-5 overall and 5-1 in GAC action after sweeping the series against Harding last weekend and picking up a non-conference win against Central Oklahoma Tuesday.

SWOSU has two players hitting over .400 on the season, with Bryan Miranda leading the way with a .444 average, 24 hits, 16 runs and six RBIs.  Alex Pimentel adds a .424 average, 25 hits, 11 runs and 19 RBIs.

A total of 13 pitchers have been on the mound for the Bulldogs this season, with Jake Cowan leading the group with a 3-1 record, 3.33 ERA and 24.1 innings of work.  Cowan has allowed 25 hits and 10 runs, while striking out 26 in just four appearances.

SWOSU took two of the three games against the Tigers last season in Weatherford, pushing their advantage in the all-time series to 37-34.  When playing as conference opponents ECU trails 32-35 and is 18-19 when playing on the road.
