DURANT, OKLA. – The East Central University volleyball team played its first two matches of the South Central Classic at Southeastern Oklahoma State.  The Tigers (0-6) fell 3-0 to both Washburn and Wayne State.

Washburn Match Highlights

• Set One: L, 25-11
• Set Two: L, 25-17
• Set Three: L, 25-16
• ECU fell behind early in each set and was unable to recover
• Senior Karina Erreguin five kills, four digs and two block assists
• Senior Breanna Waldo five kills, 1 block assist and a .250 (5-2-12) hitting percentage
• Sophomore Kellie Smith one kill and five block assists

 
Wayne State Match Highlights

• Set One: L, 25-16
• Set Two: L, 25-20
  • The Tigers fell behind early and then cut the deficit back to three (18-15)
• Set Three: L, 25-13
• Erreguin 13 kills, .233 (13-6-30) hitting percentage, one service ace, eight digs and one block assist
• Sophomore Sydney Dungen three service aces, 18 assists, eight digs
