DURANT, OKLA. – The East Central University volleyball team played its final two games of the South Central Classic hosted by Southeastern Oklahoma State.  The Tigers (0-8) fell 3-1 to New Mexico Highlands and Texas Woman's.

New Mexico Highland Scoring

• Set One: L, 25-22
  • Four ties and one lead change
  • Final tie at 16, NMHU then 4-0 run to take control for good
• Set Two: L, 25-18
  • Five ties and two lead changes
  • Final tie at seven, then the Cowgirls used an 8-0 run to take control

• ECU trailed the Cowgirls by just one dig (57-58)
• Junior Kaitlyn Coffey: 11 kills, 2 block assists, two digs
• Senior Karina Erreguin: 10 kills, .222 (10k-4e-27ta) hitting percentage, one service aces, four (2-2) blocks, eight digs
• Sophomore Sydney Dungen: 30 assists, three service aces, two kills, five digs

Texas Woman's Scoring

• Set Two: W, 26-24
  • 11 tie scores and six lead changes
  • Final tie at 24, when ECU came back from down 24-22 to tie the set
  • Sophomore Kasey Beeler served the final three points to give the Tigers the win
• Set Three: L, 25-15
  • Four ties and three lead changes
  • Final tie at five, then the Pioneer's used a 4-0 run to gain control
• Set Four: L, 25-14
  • Four ties and two lead changes
  • Final tie at 5, TWU used several runs throughout to earn the win
