Women’s Basketball Wins Nail-Biter over Arkansas Tech

ADA, OKLA. – It came down to the final 0.2 seconds, but the East Central University women's basketball team was able to come away with a 61-59 victory over Arkansas Tech in Great American Conference action at the Kerr Activities Center.

Scoring
  • First Quarter: 14-18
    • The first quarter saw long stretches without scoring
    • Teams tied the game at three after the first 2:30 minutes
    • The Golden Suns (5-7, 2-4 GAC) went on a 7-2 run to take a 10-5 advantage

    • The Golden Suns fought back to the time game at 59, with 5.2 seconds remaining
    • As the clock ran down, Sr. Lakin Preisner went up for a shot and was fouled with 0.2 left
      • Made both free throws for the victory
