Volleyball Starts Weekend Against Arkansas-Monticello

ADA, Okla. – The East Central University volleyball team started its weekend with a 3-0 Great American Conference loss to Arkansas-Monticello in the Kerr Activities Center.

  • Set One: L, 20-25
    • The Cotton Blossoms (8-15, 3-7 GAC) started the match with a 7-3 run
    • The Tigers (2-23, 1-9 GAC) kept fighting, but could not erase the deficit
  • Set Two: L, 20-25
    • The teams traded the first four serves before UAM took control
    • ECU fought back and tied the set at 16 and 17
    • UAM then took the final advantage with a 3-0 run
  • Set Three: L, 19-25
    • The Tigers jumped out to an early 11-1 lead
    • ECU kept the lead until late in the set
    • The Cotton Blossoms used several small runs to tie the set at 19 and then take the lead
      • UAM used a final 10-0 run to take the win
