Women’s Basketball Falls at Tarleton State

STEPHENVIILLE, Texas – The East Central University women's basketball team started their two-game road trip in Texas with a 70-50 loss at Tarleton State.

Scoring
  • 1st Quarter: 11-25
    • The Texans (3-0) jumped out to a 7-0 advantage in the first 3:20
    • TSU kept up the pressure throughout the quarter
      • Led by as many at 15 points
  • 2nd Quarter: 10-14 (21-39)
    • The Texans kept the advantage between 15-20 points for the entire stanza
  • 3rd: Quarter: 12-15 (33-54)
    • TSU pushed out to a 24-point advantage in the first 3:15 of the quarter
    • The Tigers (1-2) pushed the disadvantage back to 19
      • The deficit remained around 20 points the rest of the stanza
  • 4th Quarter: 17-16
    • ECU used a 7-0 run in the first 1:30 to cut the lead to 14
    • The teams traded shots and small runs through the game to keep the Texans leading between 14-20 points
