Women’s Basketball Fall in Final Game in 2019

ALVA, Okla. – The East Central University women's basketball team dropped a 76-68 Great American Conference decision at Northwestern Oklahoma State in the final game of the 2019 portion of the season.

Scoring
  • 1st Quarter: 14-16
    • The Rangers (6-4, 2-2 GAC) jumped out to an early 6-0 lead in the first 2 minutes
    • The Tigers (3-7, 1-3 GAC) countered with a 4-0 run to cut the deficit to two (6-4), with 6:46 left
    • ECU kept fighting and took a quick 9-8 lead, with 4:42 remaining in the stanza
    • The teams traded shots for the remainder of the stanza

    • ECU then used a 6-0 run to cut the deficit to four with 5:30 left to play
    • The Rangers regained control, going on an 11-2 run over the next 2:30 minutes to push the lead to 13
    • In the final minute the free-throw line came into play
