Men’s Basketball Falls in Final Regular-Season Game of 2018-19

ARKADELPHIA, ARK. – The East Central University men's basketball team fell 91-82 at Henderson State in the final regular-season game of the 2018-19 season.

Scoring
  • First Half: 30-45
    • The Tigers (16-11, 13-9 GAC) scored the first two points (18:57)
    • The Reddies (18-10, 13-9 GAC) then went on a 14-4 run over the next four minutes to increase the lead to eight
    • ECU countered with 13-0 run in the next 2:30 minutes to gain a six-point advantage
    • HSU kept the deficit between 3-6 points until the final nine minutes
    • The Reddies then used a 7-0 run in the next two minutes to regain the lead (28-25)
    • HSU finished the half on a 17-5 run
      • Led by as many as 16 points (45-29)
  • Second Half: 52-46
    • The Tigers started the second half on a 10-4 run to cut the deficit to nine
    • The Reddies kept the advantage about 10 points for most of the remaining time
