Men’s Basketball Claims Exciting Double Overtime Victory Win against Harding

ADA, Okla. – For the second-time this season, the East Central University men's basketball team went into multiple overtimes in a game at the Kerr Activities Center, this time defeating Harding 103-94 in double overtime.

Scoring
  • 1st Half: 43-39
    • The teams traded the first two points and the Tigers (15-5, 9-5 GAC) took a quick 5-3 advantage in the first minute
    • The Bisons (7-13, 2-12 GAC) followed with a 14-0 run over the next three minutes to take a 17-5 lead
    • ECU slowly fought back and used a 23-9 run over the next eight minutes to tie the game at 28
    • The Tigers kept pushing and took a lead (34-33), with 5:30 left on the clock
    • Over the next two minutes ECU continued the run to 9-3 for seven-point (40-33) advantage
    • Harding followed with a 4-0 run to cut the deficit back to three
    • The teams traded points the rest of the half
  • 2nd Half: 26-30 (69-69)
    • The Bisons started the stanza on a 6-0 run in the first three minutes
    • Continued the push to 8-2 over the following three minutes (49-50)
    • The Tigers fought back to tie the game at 55 (6-5 run) over the next minute
