Volleyball Keeps Winning-Streak Alive with Five-Set Win over Henderson State

ADA, Okla. – In front of a raucous home crowd that was comprised mostly of student-athletes, the East Central University volleyball team picked up a 3-2 (25-21, 20-25, 25-22, 13-25, 15-13) victory over Henderson State.  The win kept the school-record winning streak going, sitting at eight-straight matches.

Scoring
  • Set 1: 25-21
    • The opening set was a forecast for the entire set
      • 9 Tie Scores / 7 Lead Changes
    • No team led by more than three points
      • The Reddies (14-6, 4-4 GAC) led by three after the first serves
      • The Tigers (11-9, 7-1 GAC) led by three with the final serves of the set
    • The final tie came at 17-all

    • The teams traded the first 10 serves for a 5-all tie
    • The Reddies then took control with a 6-0 run
    • HSU added another 6-0 run late in the set to secure the win
