Men’s Basketball Faces Minnesota-Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. – The East Central University men's basketball team finished its last game at the American Family Insurance Classic, falling to host Minnesota Duluth, 92-84.

Scoring
  • 1st Half: 43-46
    • The teams traded shots in the first three minutes, for a 6-6 tie
    • The Bulldogs (2-0) then used a 5-0 run in the next minute to take the advantage
    • The Tigers (0-2) kept the deficit between 3-5 points for the next 2:30 minutes
    • UMD then started a 6-0 run, over a 30 second span, to push the lead to nine (14-23)
    • ECU kept the disadvantage between 3-9 the rest of the stanza
      • Used a 3-0 run in the final 30 seconds to cut it to three

    • After a 48-48 tie, the Bulldogs used a 4-0 run over a 1:30 period to regain the advantage
    • Over the next five minutes, UMD slowly built the lead to 14 (69-55)
    • The Bulldogs kept the lead between 8-16 points the rest of the game
    • ECU went on a 6-0 run in the final 30 seconds, but could not get closer than 8
