Men’s Basketball Flies Past Southwestern Christian

ADA, Okla. – In the last home game of the 2021 portion of the season, the East Central University men's basketball team earned a 100-71 victory over Southwestern Christian in non-conference action at the Kerr Activities Center.

Scoring
  • 1st Half: 54-39
    • The Eagles (0-4) scored the first four points in the opening two minutes
    • The Tigers (3-6, 1-2 GAC) got started and tied the game at 8 in the next 1:30 minutes
    • The teams traded shots points for the next 1:30 minutes for a 13-all tie
    • ECU went on a 6-0 run over the next two minutes to gain the advantage
    • SWCU countered with a 10-0 run, over the next 2:30 minutes, to gain a 23-1 advantage
    • The Tigers quickly tied the game at 23
    • The teams traded shots and runs with the lead going back-and-forth for the next three minutes
    • The teams remained close until 2:30 remained on the clock
    • ECU then took control with a 13-2 run in the rest of the stanza
  • 2nd Half: 46-32 (100-71)
    • The Tigers quickly got the lead over 20 in the fist minute of the half
    • The Eagles kept the deficit around 20 for the next nine minutes
    • ECU then added another push and used a 10-0 run to get the lead out to 32 (90-58)
    • The teams traded shots the rest of the way
