Volleyball Finishes Yearly Series with Oklahoma Baptist

SHAWNEE, Okla. – The East Central University volleyball team played their second game of the Great American Conference series for 2020-21 against No. 6 Oklahoma Baptist, falling 3-0 (18-25, 17-25, 11-25) at the Noble Complex.

Scoring
  • Set 1: 25-18
    • The teams traded the first four serves before the Bison (15-0, 10-0 GAC) went on a 3-0 run to take the advantage
    • The Tigers (3-5, 3-5 GAC) kept the deficit between 3-4 points until a 4-0 run by OBU pushed the difference to seven (16-9)
    • ECU countered with a 5-1 run to fight back within two (17-15)
    • The Bison followed with a 4-1 run to take control for good
  • Set 2: 25-17
    • OBU opened the set on a 6-2 run
    • The Bison kept up the pressure and led by seven for most of the remaining time in the set
  • Set 3: 25-11
    • OBU jumped out to a 5-1 lead and never let the Tigers get closer than three
    • The Bison kept pushing and increased the lead to as many as 14 through the set
