ADA, Okla. – After falling to Arkansas Tech by 20 on Monday, the East Central University men's basketball team came away with a different outcome in today's game, defeating the Wonder Boys (6-9, 3-6 GAC) 77-69, in Great American Conference action at the Kerr Activities Center.

- 1st Half: 32-33
- ATU started the game on a 6-0 run (first three minutes)
- ECU countered with a 7-2 run to get within one (7-8), over the next 1:30 minutes
- The Wonder Boys then regained control of the momentum and used a 15-2 run in the next 4:30 minutes, to push the lead to 23-9
- The Tigers (7-10, 5-6 GAC) fought back with a few runs over the next nine minutes to take a 32-30 lead, with 1:15 left on the clock

- The teams traded runs through the first four minutes, with ATU leading 41-39

- ECU kept up the pressure and increased the lead to 10, with 7:15 left to play
- The Wonder Boys followed with a 9-2 run to get within three (65-62), with five minutes left to play
- The Tigers counted with a 6-1 run to put the advantage back around 10, where they kept it the rest of the game
