DURANT, Okla. – In the first of two games in four days between the East Central University women's basketball team and arch rival Southeastern Oklahoma State, the Tigers fell 60-44, at Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

Scoring

• 1^st Quarter: 16-10
  • The Tigers (10-8, 7-7 GAC) opened the game on a 5-0 run in the first 1:15
  • The Savage Storm (9-10, 7-6 GAC) followed with a 4-0 run in the next 1:15
  • Both teams then went cold and no one scored for the next 2:30 minutes
  • ECU was the first to score off a steal, but SEOSU then knotted the game at 7
  • The Tigers countered with a 6-0 run to regain the advantage, with 1:30 left to play in the stanza
  • The teams traded triples in the remaining time
• 2^nd Quarter: 6-17 (22-27)
  • The Savage Storm came out fighting and used an 8-2 run, in the first three minutes, to tie the game at 18
  • The score remained close and low scoring
  • In the final four minutes SEOSU took control and used a 6-0 run to gain a 24-20 advantage
  • The Savage Storm kept up the pressure and led by five

  • SEOSU took control right from the start of the half
    • Used a 10-0 run, in the first three minutes
• 4^th Quarter: 10-23 (40-66)
  • Neither team scored for the first two minutes
    • ECU held scoreless for the first three minutes
      • The Savage Storm scored six in the span
