ALVA, Okla. – The East Central University women's basketball team returned to action after having the first game of the week delayed due to winter weather across the area. The Tigers (10-9, 7-8 GAC) and Northwestern Oklahoma State battled through 12 tie scores and 13 lead changes, with the Rangers (12-9, 8-7 GAC) coming out with a 79-74 victory.

- The Tigers kept fighting and got back within one twice, but could not regain the advantage
- The Rangers kept the lead by taking care of their shots at the free-throw line (12-of-14) in the final two minutes
- ECU kept up the pressure and hit a triple, with 16 seconds remaining, to get back within two (76-74)
- The Tigers then had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but missed a layup
