Cole Records 100th Career Victory against Arkansas-Monticello

ADA, Okla. – The East Central University women's basketball team got a decisive win for head coach Matt Cole, to give his 100th career coaching victory.  The Tigers defeated Arkansas-Monticello, 82-52, in Great American Conference action at the Kerr Activities Center.

  • 1st Quarter: 23-19
    • The Tigers (7-5, 4-4 GAC) opened the game with an 8-0 run, in the first 1:15
    • The Cotton Blossoms (0-14, 0-8 GAC) countered with a 5-0 run, in the next minute, to get within three
    • ECU then used a 9-4 run over the next three minutes to gain a 17-9 advantage
    • UAM made a push, over the next three minutes, and used a 10-0 run to take a 19-17 advantage
    • The Tigers finished the stanza on a 3-0 run
  • 2nd Quarter: 17-9 (40-28)
    • UAM pushed back with a 4-2 run in the first 40 seconds to get the deficit to four (25-21)
    • The teams traded runs through the half way point
    • ECU then took control and went on a 9-2 run, in the final minutes of the half, to take a 12-point lead into the locker room
  • 3rd Quarter: 22-10 (63-38)
    • The Tigers continued to push at the start of the second half, going on a 9-0 run, in the first 3:15
    • The teams kept thing close for the rest of the stanza, with ECU holding the advantage around 25
  • 4th Quarter: 20-14 (82-52)
    • Over the first four minutes the Tigers slowly built the lead to 30 (72-42)
    • ECU kept pushing and led by as many as 34 (80-46)
