ADA, Okla. – The East Central University baseball team walked it off in game one of the non-conference series against Nebraska Wesleyan University on Monday.
Krew Taylor drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning, bringing

However, the Tigers faced a setback in the next frame, surrendering four runs off of two hits, including a two-run homer that gave the Prairie Wolves a 4-1 advantage.
The ECU offense would suddenly stall while Nebraska Wesleyan would continue to add one run in the fourth and another in the sixth to extend their lead 6-1.
Despite Nebraska Wesleyan extending their lead to 6-1 with runs in the fourth and sixth innings, ECU rallied in the sixth inning courtesy of
Tanner Collins' 2 RBI single that drove in
Christian Whitaker and
Kale Williams to cut the deficit in half, 6-3.
Nebraska Wesleyan would cushion their lead with a single run in the top of the seventh, but ECU answered back with
Gage Boatman's sacrifice fly, scoring Williams and making it 7-4.
Trailing by three runs going into the ninth inning,

Nick Blankenship drew walks before
Christian Whitaker was hit by a pitch, loading the bases.
Gage Boatman's sacrifice fly brought in a run, followed by
Britton Sperry's walk, which tied the game at 7-7. That set up
Krew Taylor, who worked the final walk to secure the Tigers walk-off victory.

Chase Owen, who had entered the game earlier for starter
Price Daube. Poff pitched two scoreless innings, only allowing one hit for his first career win at ECU.
