Essix averaged 2.4 kills for a total of 240 for the season while also averaging 2.0 digs per set for ECU as a sophomore in 2011...She averaged 1.9 kills for a total of 154 as a freshman in 2010…She earned TWSA all-state and district most valuable player awards as well as a first team all-district honor for Commerce High School (Texas)…She registered nearly 1,200 kills, over 700 digs, over 300 blocks and more than 100 service aces during her high school career.
