East Central University Athletics

ADA – East Central University senior Marissa Shaffer has been named the ECU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for March 7.

Shaffer earned two wins in the circle for the Tigers in the series sweep of Ouachita Baptist last weekend.  The Sasakwa, Okla., native earned one complete game shutout victory and then threw the final three innings in the final game of the series.

She allowed just six hits, two runs (one earned) and one walk, while striking out six in 10 innings of work for the week.
