RUSSELLVILLE, ARK. – East Central University women's basketball senior Tia Williams has been named the Great American Conference Player of the Week for Jan. 2.
 
Williams matched her season high as she netted 19 points in the Tigers' 75-56 victory against No. 22 Central Oklahoma. She went 7-for-11 from the field, including 4-for-7 from the 3-point arc. She added three steals as ECU broke a 15-game losing streak to the Bronchos to score its first win against UCO since February 4, 2006.
