ADA - East Central University has a new broadcasting home for football and basketball.
Brian DeAngelis, Director of Athletics for ECU, and Roger Harris, General Manager for KXFC radio, have signed a new agreement that will broadcast all of the Tiger football and basketball games on the newly-formatted KXFC 105.5 FM station, known as the X-Factor.
"We're excited to go from broadcasting on a 6,000-watt station on KADA 99.3 to a 25,000-watt station in KXFC 105.5 FM. This will obviously broadcast our games to a wider audience and give our sponsors more value in their partnership with our athletic department," said DeAngelis.
KXFC, the X-Factor, is a station that broadcasts contemporary music throughout Ada and the surrounding communities, reaching as far as McAlester.
"I'm excited to continue our partnership with the Chickasaw Nation's family of stations and improve the value of our product and level of service to Tiger fans," DeAngelis said.
"Our partnership with ECU has been a 30-plus year marriage. This agreement takes that to another, high level," said Harris.
