ADA – The East Central University women's cross country team will compete in their second race of the 2014 season this weekend when they travel to Joplin, Mo., for the 2014 Missouri Southern State Stampede, Saturday, Sept. 20.

The Tigers are one of three teams from the Great American Conference and one of 17 teams overall in the 5K race set to start at 8:30 a.m.  ECU will test themselves against Arkansas Tech and Southern Arkansas from the GAC, as well as Arkansas, Cowley JC, Dallas Baptist, Drury, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Missouri Southern, Missouri Western, Maryville, Newman, Oklahoma Christian, Oklahoma, Pittsburg State, Rogers State and Tulsa.

The Tigers placed 14, out of 17, in the 2013 running of the race, with senior ReGina Germaine leading the pack of seven runners.  Germaine finished 40^th individually with a time of 19:06.35.
