Football Adds 25 to 2015 Roster

ADA – The East Central University football team has signed 25 to the 2015 roster on the annual Signing Day.  The group includes one from California, six from Oklahoma and 18 from Texas.

"We are extremely proud of this class," said head coach Tim McCarty.  "Not only is the talent excellent, but the character and families that these young men have are outstanding.  We are really excited for this crew to get to campus and add their part to the East Central family."

Collin Andrews
Recorded 64 tackles, four interceptions, 463 rushing yards, 610 receiving, 1,347 all-purpose yards and 22 touchdowns during his senior season…named First Team Little All-City and honorable mention all-state…set a national record for fumbles recoveries returned for a touchdown in one quarter with three…team defensive MVP his senior season.

Keaton Bell
Finished his senior season with 90 tackles, one sack, and one interception which he returned for a touchdown…earned first team all-state, all-star by class, first team all-district and Norman Transcript Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Trinity Benson
Tallied 43 Receptions for 562 yards and eight TDS…added 18 rushes for174 yards and one TD..garnered a 76 yard punt return TD…recorded 1,036 all-purpose yards in his senior season in 8.5 games…unanimous First Team All-District 6-6A Wide Receiver…also earned THSCA Academic All State Honorable Mention, team offensive MVP and first team all-district honors…selected for Blue-Grey All-American Bowl in Dallas.

M'Kyl Borders
A first team all-district cornerback in 9-5A his senior year…tallied 22 tackles, two interceptions, nine pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries. 
  
William Colbert
A 2014 All-District 9-4A D1 FirstTeam Defense Cornerback and Second Team Offensive Quarterback his senior year...avgeraged 24 yards per kick return, with two TDs…added 58 tackles, three interceptions, six pass breaks-up…threw for 537 total yard and three touchdowns.
                 
Dewayne Douchette
Earned first team all-state, all-star by class, first team all-district honors… helped Lawton to the  state championship game his senior year. 

Hernain Fegueroa
Earned Second Team All-District 7-6A honors…started at two positions (safety and OLB)…recorded 65 total tackles (37 Solo, 28 assists), seven pass break-ups, two sacks and forced one fumble.

Tevita Folahola
Earned First Team All-District 7-6A honors…garnered 14 starts in 2014…recorded 80 knock-down blocks, allowed one sack and had an average grade of 90%.

Moses Folefac
Tallied 27 tackles, one sack, one TFL and one touchdown his senior season…ranked No. 20 corner in the state of Texas and No. 132 corner in the country by Scout.com.

Dilland Gardner
A two-time unanimous All-District 8-6A  Lineman… helped lead the Eagles to the state semi-finals in 2013 and a Bi-District Championship in 2014…DeSoto went 25-3 and  averaged over 50 points a game his final two seasons… led one of the most prolific offenses in the state...a regional qualifier in both the shot put and discus as a junior…named to the Second Team 5A Underclassmen Elite Team.

Devin Gates
Earned first team all-district honors as senior…helped led Lawton to the state championship game.

Darris Harper
Earned first team all-district honors…recorded 21 catches for 200 yards and two TDs as a junior…grabbed 45 catches for 600 yards and six TDs as a senior... also a member of the Cedar Hill track & field team.

James Houchin
Garnered 42 pancake blocks and 12 touchdown blocks his senior season…earned first team all-district honors and was named team offensive MVP.

Tre'von Jackson
Recorded 145 carries for 1401 yards rushing and 22 touchdowns in just five games his senior season…earned first team all-state, all-area and all-district honors.

Damian James
Became the Conrad All-Time Leading Receiver for receptions, yards and touchdowns as a senior…as a senior he threw for 662 yards, with 10 touchdowns…earned first team all-district defensive back and second team honors at quarterback as a junior and first team all-district wide receiver and defensive back honors as a sophomore…tallied 13 interceptions in his career…helped Conrad to the 2012 District 12/4A runner-up title.

Garrett Johnson
Transfer from Bakersfield College…earned second team all-conference honors at Bakersfield…a two time all-league on offense and defense selection as a prep… named to the first team all-area team twice.

Tobias Natee
A unanimous first team all-district selection...led Trinity with 121 Tackles (65 Solo , 56 assists), five pass break-ups, 12 TFL, two forced fumbles, three sacks and 12 quarterback hurries.

Carrington Nelson
Two year letterman and starter from nationally ranked Desoto High School…an all-district performer…garnered nine tackles, four sacks and a pass interception. ..as a punter he average 42 yards per punt.

Joseph Sanders
An all-district selection his senior year…recorded 56 tackles.  

Anthony Shelton
A First Team All-District 9-5A Defensive End as a senior…recorded 35 tackles, two TFL, two sacks, three QB hurries, one pass break-up and two fumble recoveries.

Wilding Smith
Garnered 51 tackles, four sacks, one interception, and one TD as a senior. Earned first team all-district, and second team all-area.

Blake Summers
Recorded 2400 total yards of offense, 54 touchdowns and  40 tackles on defense as a senior… was the starting quarterback/safety of a team that is on a 30 game win streak…earned first team all-state, Oklahoma Vype Top-100 players, Ardmorite MVP and  state championship game MVP  honors in 2015.

Judd Terry
Graded out at 88%, with 150 knockdowns and only allowing one sack as a senior…claimed first team all-district, first team all-area and honorable mention all-state honors in 2015…earned honorable mention all-district honors as a junior.

Dakota Williamson
A 2014 All-District 5-4A D II First Team Defense lineman and APSE class 4A ALL-State Honorable mention…recorded 55 total tackles and three sacks in 2015.

Jamil Young
Claimed 2014 and 2013 All-District  15/5A Second Team Offense Receiver honors….recorded 41 receptions for 494 yards and four TDs as a senior…also a Texas Association of Soccer Coaches All-Region II-4A selection… regional champion in triple jump on the track & field team.
