EDMOND, OKLA. – The East Central University women's cross country team finished fourth, out of 12 teams, at the Central Oklahoma Land Run.
ResultsThe Tigers tallied 113 points and finished in from of three other teams from the Great American Conference. Oklahoma Baptist claimed the team top finish in the race (37 points), Southwestern Oklahoma State was seventh (238), Southern Nazarene 10
th (261) and Northwestern Oklahoma State 12
th (360).
Sophomore
Marisa Meza was the first runner to cross the line for ECU. Meza finished 12
th in a time of 19:16.88 in the 5K race. Freshman
Anna Mora was two seconds behind at 19:18.88 for 13
th.

Samantha Flores was 25
th in a time of 19:55.78, junior
Jennifer Swart was 33
rd in 20:15.79 and sophomore
Michaela Lombardi was 43
rd in 20:38.80 for the runners that scored.
Freshman Macey Pflughoft (20:39.29), junior
Karen Mendez (21:20.22) and junior
Taylor Coss (21:22.96) also participated for the Tigers.
ECU will now have two weeks off before their next race, Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Southern Stampede hosted by Missouri Southern State in Joplin, Mo.
